1st Annual Orthodox Talent Show

Where: New Jersey City University in New Jersey

We are inviting all the Oriental Orthodox Churches in NY/NJ area to participate. First 24 churches to R.S.V.P. will be able to perform since there is limited time, but everybody is welcome to come.

Acts can be vocal, instrumental, a short skit, etc. A total of 10 minutes will be given to each church. The church representatives will choose how to split up those 10 minutes. They can fit as many people as they please into the time slot. Choirs performing cannot take more then 5 minutes. All acts will be chosen by the representatives, and skits must be approved by the priest or representatives. There will be two representatives chosen from each church. This will compile a group of representatives to organize and plan the event. This group must meet twice a month in St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Jersey City.

Saint John of San Francisco Monthly Retreats – Clergy Wives Retreat

Each retreat begins Friday afternoon at 5 pm and concludes Sunday afternoon at 1 pm on the last weekend of each month. In addition to talks on the retreat theme, retreatants will also participate in the monastic services and meals and stay at the monastery guesthouse. There will be opportunity to spend quiet time walking the monastery grounds, as well as social time meeting others who seek a deeper commitment to Christ. Fr. Meletios will also be available for the Sacrament of Confession.

Space is limited in the monastery guesthouse, so please make your reservation early! The cost for each retreat weekend is $120, and we ask for a $20 deposit
