"Why did I abandon my dreams to do missions in North Korea?"

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

There is a huge crisis in the Universal Protestant Christian

Church in South Korea. Many believers in South Korea are

heavily influenced by false teachers like Joel Osteen, Oral

Roberts, Benny Hinn, and Kenneth Copeland, and other

believers like Pastor Cho Yong-Gi, who compromised truth

so that more people can go to their church.

Many Christians in Korea are heavily influenced by the wealth-

health prosperity gospel. Many believers have a false belief

that if they become Christians, God will reward them with a

beautiful and rich wife or handsome and rich husband. Many

believers have a false belief that God will bless them with better

jobs and more money if they have faith in God.

If you visit a local church in Seoul Kangnam area, there is a

Christian bookstore, which sells garbage literature from Joel

Osteen.

This has to stop.

In the US, many American believers are also heavily

influenced by the wealth-health prosperity gospel. However,

there is Christian Research Institute counter-cult ministry

safegaurding the Universal Protestant Christian Church in

terms of correct doctrine and preaching of God's Word. In

Korea, there is no counter-cult ministry battling the false

doctrines of Pastor Cho Yong-Gi, Joel Osteen, Oral

Roberts, Benny Hinn, and Kenneth Copeland.

I really thought about doing missions in North Korea. Now,

I felt that I need to do missions in South Korea as much as I

can or else many young people in Korea will fall away from

their faith when they do not find a good high paying job. Many

may fall away from their faith if they do not marry a rich and

handsome husband or a rich or beautiful wife. We cannot let

false doctrine take control of the Universal Protestant Christian

Church in South Korea.

In North Korea, many Christians are willing to die for their

faith. In South Korea, many Christians are willing to become

Christians if God rewarded them with marriage and with a lot

of money.

Please pray for South Korea.

1. Please pray for my mother, father, and younger brother
Richard that they will worship our Jesus as their Savior and
Lord.

2. Please also pray that they will also realize both money
invested and time invested building relationships with
people for God's glory is eternal.

3. Please pray that my father will not have any serious heart
problems after he had his heart attack on September 1, 2001.

4. Please pray for my success at Samsung by publishing
more papers and patents. Please pray for my health by losing
more weight and by exercising 4 times per week.

5. Please pray that I will tame my foolish tongue in terms of
arguing with my father, mother, and younger brother related to
the Bible, church, God, finances, and other issues of pride.
